My Weather

My Weather will show you online weather information from The Weather Channel. It consists of a Main Page, a Forecast Page and a Details Page. Additional are pages for World Weather (animations) and a Map Viewer. Go to Setup to change the location, unit and map.
My Weather uses caching which means that the weather file will be downloaded and used for the next 30 minutes. After 30 minutes My Weather will download a new file. This is implemented not to bother the Weather Channel to much and in fact its one of their conditions to supply the weather information. Only if you go to another instance (see below) of My Weather, a new file will be downloaded.

Instances

My Weather can have multiple instances by adding "?instance=description" after "weather.htm", when you define this new instance as a category (Go directly to URL).
For example: "weather.htm?instance=mycity"

This way you can have weather forecasts for as many cities as you like.
In the predefined menu structure you can find entries for Delft (my home town), Amsterdam, Chicago, Shanghai and Saigon.

My World Weather shows you animated satellite images from all over the world. It consists of 4 pages with each 7 different animated satellite images.

The 4 categories are:

Americas (7 animated images)
Europe (7 animated images)
Africa, Middle East, Pacific (7 animated images)
Asia, Australia (7 animated images)

My Map Viewer

My Map Viewer is a simple utility that allows you to view all the different weather maps from the Weather Channel. In fact its almost the same page as the map setup page, only it will not save the last map viewed. You can add maps to it in the maps.xml file.
