During the last two decennia, SAM-Consult has developed many software for the dredging and the offshore  industry.
Most of the software is dedicated and exclusive.
The software is developed in Visual Basic and Power Basic, using different add-ons.
Some of the software uses data acquisition boards for interfacing with consoles, transducers and actuators.

Below is a list of the software developed by SAM-Consult.

The different programs use DPMW for the graphs and DGMW for 3D bank profiles.

• "DPMW", Data Presentation Manager Windows. Graphical presentation and analysis of data files. The analysis includes spectral analysis, linear and non-linear regression. Up to 20 graphs can be made on one sheet of paper, each graph containing up to 20 or more signals. Text and picture view ports are also supported.

• "SPBW", Stationary Pump/Pipeline Behavior Windows. Calculation and presentation of pump/pipeline characteristics with multiple pumps of soil/water mixtures, based on the models of Durand/Condolios and Wilson. An estimate is made of the cavitation and the deposit limits. The calculations can be carried out for 10 densities simultaneously.

• "DPBW", Dynamic Pump/Pipeline Behavior Windows. As SPBW but with time varying density and soil properties. The user can change pump revolutions, density and soil properties interactive.

• "CSDS", Cutter Suction Dredge Simulator. Includes the equilibrium of moments around the work spud, the cutting process, the hydraulics transport process, the banking process, etc. The simulator includes a PC connected to a console. Many scenario's can be played on this simulator.

• "CSDPET", CSD Production Estimating Tool. As CSDS, but with scripts describing the working methods. Used for production estimation.

• "FRDDMS", Frazer River Dustpan Dredge Monitoring System. A dedicated monitoring system, including DGPS and many transducers to determine the dustpan position. Includes screens to view the dredge and the channel from different points of view.

• "DGMW", Digital Ground Monitoring Windows. Control and interpretation of a dual axis sonarhead, including interpolation algoritms. Watch the bottom profile from different points of view. Also used in CSDS, CSDPET and BHSW for making 3D bottom profile graphs.

• "BHSW", Backhoe Simulator Windows. Simulates the motions and the digging process of a backhoe dredge. Used for production estimation and determining dredge limits in various types of soil.

• "HYCLAM", Hydraulic Clamshell Closing Simulation. Simulates the closing process of hydraulic clamshells in various types of soil. There are 4 hydraulics configurations implemented.

• "IMSW", Internet Messaging System Windows. Easy input of messages for schools/companies and publication on the internet. The page layout can be fully customized. The system supports a feedback page for sending new messages to the webmaster, and includes some important customizable links.

• "ERSW", Exchange Reservation System Windows. Make room/facility reservations using the public folders in MS Outlook. Get an overview of all the rooms/facilities on a certain day, or an overview of one room/facility in one month. Other overviews can easily be added.

• "SCS", solving the non-linear equilibrium equations of motion of a swell compensator for offshore applications, including graphical presentation of the results.

• "TSHD", Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge. Calculates the loading cycle of a hopper dredge, depending on the hopper dimensions, operational parameters and the sand properties.

• "DREDMO", solving the non-linear equilibrium equations of motion of a cutter suction dredger under offshore conditions.  Developed for research purposes in cooperation with Delft Hydraulics and sold to Dutch dredging contractors.
